Rapper Lil’ Kim will taste freedom on July 3 at 6 a.m., she will be release from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia. The release comes three months early due to good behavior. Lil’ Kim says:

I am thrilled to be coming home. I thank all my fans for all their letters, as well as my family and friends for all their support throughout the past 10 months.

Upon release Lil’ Kim will be under house arrest for 30 days and on probation for three years.

Kim had been convicted in March 2005 of perjury and conspiracy in connection with the trial of the 2001 shooting incident outside New York’s Hot 97 radio station.

Can singer Brandy be the next replacement for the fired Star Jones Reynolds? It can very well be official depending on how well she performs on the Wednesday and Friday show.

Her View stint could lead to a full-time job. “These tryouts are for consideration for the permanent gig,” a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE. “They plan to have a few people trying out, like what CBS did (before hiring) Craig Ferguson for the Late Late Show.”

Soon to be single

The Newlywed couple, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, are very close to being legally single. TMZ has the document signed by the two to officially end their nuptial:

The documents, which TMZ obtained from the court, need a “sign off” from the presiding judge before it becomes official. The judge is on vacation until next week. Assuming he signs it — and there is no reason he wouldn’t — Judge Senit Henry could issue the divorce decree immediately. Under California law, a divorce decree cannot become final until six months after the divorce petition is filed. Jessica officially filed for divorce on December 16, 2005, just over six months ago.

Now the battle for Jessica’s millions is about to start. Under California law, all earnings and most other assets acquired during their marriage are divided 50/50. To quickly settle the money matter, Jessica offer Nick $1.5 million, a amount that’s more like a slap in Nick’s face.

After Star Jones gave a surprised announcement of her leaving The View do to it going in different direction on June 6, 2006 and being fired the same day after that stunt. ABC has removed almost all traces of her from their website. The only place you can still see her is on Meredith Vieira bio page (attach screen cap). That’s right Meredith Vieira is still alive and well with ABC.

Talk about burning bridges, Star burned a big ass bridge. Let’s see who Star Jones pissed off: Barbara Walters, The View, ABC, and The Walt Disney Company. I wish her luck in finding another job.
