Basketball phenom LeBron James’ mother Gloria James was recently arrested for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, and damaging police equipment. Gloria was pulled over by the two off-duty police officers who were moonlighting as security guards for the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority on Friday night. The response LeBron gave before his game on Saturday were:

I don’t have all the info of what’s going on. Once I find that out and once I sit down with my family, you know, I’ll be able to comment on it a little bit better.

The officers states that Gloria almost drove her SUV into the officers car. They also stated that Gloria smell like alcohol and appeared to be disoriented. The officer had a hard time putting the cuffs on her and after she was put in the back seat, the officer said, “She kept leaning forward, screaming, hollering and carrying on.”

Looks like Gloria was bored and just took out the Cadillac for a joy ride thinking she was still able to drive after drinking. She was released on $2,500 bond and will appear in court on Monday.

Brian Dunkelman is being resurrected back to play host to American Idol. Well that is partly right, Brian will be back only on syndication. The new syndicated show will be call American Idol Rewind and contains old episode of the rating juggernaut plus will also have never before seen footage of the show.

Initially, it’s believed Rewind will look back at the singing competition’s inaugural 2002 season, in which Kelly Clarkson was crowned and Dunkelman was employed. Rare footage could include Clarkson’s audition and new interviews with past participants. Should the syndicated Idol prove itself a worthy progeny of its powerhouse parent, additional seasons presumably will be revisited.

Stay tune for the first Rewind on September 2006. Looks like Brian will be getting some cash to buy some value meal at McDonald’s.

Usher

Looks like Usher’s mother is not liking her son’s new love Tameka Foster. The reason for this non love from mother Jonetta Patton is that Tameka has ambition of being part of Usher’s management one day. A family insider says, “Him dating her is causing a serious family rift.”

A source says the reason Jonetta had initially fired Tameka as Usher’s stylist was, “She didn’t think she was dressing him according to the caliber of star he was.” Another source tells Daily Dish, “People in the industry don’t like Tameka – she has had a lot of problems with designers.”

Also not helping matter for Tameka are reports that she has three children with her current husband Ryan Glover and other reports that she maybe a lot older than what she is telling everyone.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Actress Nicole Kidman has broken off her engagement with with country singer Keith Urban. The reason Nicole broke it off was her fear that Keith hasn’t gotten over his wild ways.

Keith is reported to be devastated after hear the news Nicole has broken the engagement off. It was only a few weeks ago when we all saw Nicole wearing the 3.5-carat engagement ring that Keith had given her. They had also spent the Christmas holiday together. A friend of Nicole tells The Mail on Sunday the following:

Everything seemed to be going fine, but then she heard stories that Keith had not totally turned his back on his wild ways. Nicole told Keith she needed space to think and had to break off their engagement. The truth is, a lot of her friends were worried about him from the start because of his reputation as a womaniser and no one wants to see her hurt again. She feels Keith isn’t ready to settle down. Keith’s devastated but determined to win her back.

One person who saw this engagement breaking up was Keith’s ex-girlfriend Laura Sigler. Laura told the paper the following:

I knew it wouldn’t last. Keith is charming and very charismatic, but not reliable. He had numerous flings while we were together. He is very attractive and when he talks the talk, he can be very seductive. But I’m not sure Keith will ever be ready to settle down. He talks about wanting a family, but there is a dark side to him. He was a drunk and a drug user. He has an addict’s personality and always wants more. I’m not sure any one woman can make him happy.

Rocker and part owner of the Soul arena football team, Bon Jovi, almost injured in a freaky plane landing. The Boeing 707 that was used to transport the band tried to land but skidded on the runway at the Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada after flying in from Buffalo, N.Y.

The 14 passengers involved in the flight were reported to be unhurt after the landing. Bon Jovi’s spokeswoman added that the show yesterday, Monday and Tuesday will proceed as expected.

Kate Moss is Back

Supermodel Kate Moss will be talking to the police in London real soon. Lawyers for Kate are currently making arrangements with the police to have her come back for an interview about the incident where the whole world saw the video of her doing five lines of cocaine.

The announcement of arrangements for the mother-of-one to be questioned by Metropolitan police officers was made by her London model agency, Storm, following discussions between lawyers and the police over the last fortnight.

A spokesman for the model said: “Kate has made it absolutely clear all along that she will co-operate with any police investigation when the necessary arrangements can be made.”

The spokesman declined to say where the meeting would take place, or when, but said details were being worked out between her lawyers and police.

Keira Knightley

The Golden Globe security guards are easier star struck. Actress Keira Knightley was able to bribe a couple security guards into letting her friends into one of the hottest Golden Globes party.

All it took to get her seven friends into the party was two tickets and two packets of crisps. Keira says the following about what happen:

What’s a girl to do? I gave the security guys my best smile and confessed that there were eight of us and only two tickets. They said to me, ‘What else you got?’ and I said, ‘Well, we’ve got two packets of crisps,’ and they said, ‘OK, that’ll do.’ So we wafted into the poshest party of the night with two packets of ready salted.
