Move over Angelina Jolie here comes 20-year old Karima Adebibe. There’s a new Lara Croft in town. Former sales assistant Karima has been name the new face of Lara Croft. Karima says the following after landing the Lara Croft role:
I’m more than a match for her and I’d love to take Angelina on one on one to see who’s the toughest.
Karima went on about the reaction from her boyfriend Terry:
Terry is happy I got the job and very proud of me. But I don’t think he is going to enjoy all the attention, which is understandable.
He hasn’t seen me pictured as Lara. I’ve not taken the costume home either, but maybe I will.
I think he would be scared of it, though! There’s a lot of latex and I’ve got guns and grenades. I’m already the dominant one in the relationship, so just imagine if I showed up as Lara Croft — I reckon he would cry!
Karima will now become the fantasy for millions of young pubescent boys and some grown men.

Mary-Kate Olsen and sister Ashley Olsen took time off from modeling their own line of low price Wal-Mart clothing to do some high fashion modeling. The Olsen twins will be modeling in Badgley Mischka’s latest ad campaign.
The designer Mark Badgley and James Mischka gave the following statement for using the twins:
Ashley and Mary-Kate have grown up to become America’s young style icons. They have an amazing sense of fashion and individuality that intrigued us. [The twins] reflect the younger, edgier and more sensual glamour that we have incorporated in our latest fall collection.
In return Ashley issue the following statement:
We have been fans of Mark and James for years and were honored when approached to appear in the campaign.
You can find the ads in the April issues of Vogue, Elle, InStyle and Vanity Fair magazines.
The Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has certainly disappointed his many fans who for some reason were looking forward to seeing him on tour in Sydney and Melbourne this month. It is being reported that the Australian tour will be cancel due to Hasselhoff being casted in a TV show set to film in the US.
On his official tour site Hasselhoff tells his fans that the tour would be postponed until a later date that hasn’t been determine. He goes on to say, “Thank you for your understanding and patience and we look forward to seeing you at the rescheduled performances.”
In other Hasselhoff news, he is reported to be resurrecting the Baywatch series and is currently scouting for potential locations.
Its official Paris Hilton has rated her upcoming album by stating the album, “It’s Hot.” Paris goes on to tell Star magazine:
It’s been a long hard process getting this CD together. I’m really proud of the album. It’s hot. I’ve written poems, so that helped me with lyrics. People will trash [the still unnamed album] because it’s me, but once they listen, they’ll be shocked. I know this is good.
The only hot thing I think will be the video, which will be created by the same people who made the Carl Jr. burger commercial.
I personally think Nicole Richie’s song Dandelion sounded a lot better.
This is just bizarre, a naked family in a car.
Police this weekend discovered a Long Island grandmother, mother, and toddler naked in broad daylight near the Lenox Street Bridge.
The state Department of Social Services has taken custody of the child while psychiatrists evaluate the mental state of her mother and grandmother after police found the three sitting naked in a parked car Saturday morning.
“There was an obvious mental illness issue involved,” Norwood Police Lt. Brian Murphy said yesterday.
The three were taken by ambulance to Caritas Norwood Hospital, where the grandmother and mother were given a psychiatric evaluation. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the incident, said Murphy.
Die Hard star Bruce Willis defends A Million Little Pieces writer James Frey. And the piss off Willis directed most of his anger at Oprah Winfrey. I can’t wait until Oprah starts a war with Bruce. According to Page Six Bruce tells iFMagazine:
Look at what happened to James Frey in the last two weeks. That’s a great book and so is the follow-up book [“My Friend Leonard“]. And just because his publisher chose to say that these were memoirs, it took it out of being a work of fiction, a great work of fiction and very well-written, to this guy having to go be sucker-punched on ‘Oprah’ by one of the most powerful women in television just to grind her own ax about it.
Hey, Oprah.
You had President Clinton on your show, and if this [bleep] didn’t lie about a couple of things, I’m going to set myself on fire right now. James Frey is a writer, OK? He can write whatever he wants. It’s fiction, and it’s just hard, it’s just shameful how he was treated in some of these things.
I wonder if Bruce Willis has something to do with turning the book into a movie and is now piss that Oprah turned her legion of people against the book.
