Paris not above the law

Paris Hilton has issued a statement yesterday stating that she is not above the law.

After reading the media’s coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should — no matter how slightly.

I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation.

No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse.

Who is she fooling with this statement, saying your not above the law then trying to get a pardon from your jail sentencing is in fact the opposite. So lets make sure Paris knows she isn’t above the law by putting this heiress behind bars.

I think it is horrible what is being done to Paris Hilton. Since when does the public have the right to overturn a judge’s ruling. He ruled Paris would be alowed to serve her time at home and that is the way it should be. Others that have been arrested for the same offense are let out in a couple of days. It makes me sick to see this happening. Yet child molesters get a slap on the hand and are freed in no time. Paris belongs at home not in jail.
