The official news is out and Katie Couric is leaving NBC for CBS. Katie will leave the number one morning show to become the first female to anchor a evening newscast. The announcement came at her 15th year at the morning show that started in 1991:

I wanted to tell all of you out there that after listening to my heart and my gut, I’ve decided I’ll be leaving ‘Today’ at the end of May. I really feel as if we’ve become friends through the years.

It’s been such an honor and a privilege to occupy this seat for as long as I have,” she said. “Sometimes I think change is a good thing. Although it may be terrifying to get out of your comfort zone, it’s also very exciting to start a new chapter in your life.

Rumor on the short list to replace Katie is The View’s Meredith Vieira.

Pop singer Christina Anguilera wasted invested about $43,500 in art, lesbian art to be exact. The painting is of Queen Victoria sitting on top of another females mouth, and I am guessing she is getting munched on down there.

The painting is by British graffiti artist Banksy. A friend of Aguilera says, “She’s a huge fan on Bansky’s work.” Aguilera plans to hang the painting in her home.

Jennifer Aniston

Things got a little tense on the Today show yesterday when Jennifer Aniston were ask about the rumor that the queen of talk Oprah Winfrey was about to throw a $8 million wedding for her and Vince Vaughn. When Jill Rappaport asked this, Aniston’s costar in the new movie Friends with Money, Catherine Keener reply:

I thought you weren’t going to go there.

Rappaport went on by saying she was still curious about the wedding and that she never been to an $8 million wedding. At that point Keener said, “”And now you won’t be.”

It would have been a lot funnier if Keener had started yelling and screaming.

Ecstasy Pills

A 37-year-old man who will only be known as Mr A has revealed to doctors that he has consumed over 40,000 pills of ecstasy in his lifetime. This revelation makes it the largest reported ecstasy usage by a single person, the old record was 2,000 pills. Mr A was able to beat the record by starting at the age of 21 and continuing until he was 30. At the peak of his ecstasy usage, he was taking 25 pills for four years.

After all those years of popping pills, he is now experiencing memory problems, among other things. Doctors says:

For a few months, he felt as if he was still under the influence of ecstasy and suffered several episodes of ‘tunnel vision’.

He eventually developed severe panic attacks, recurrent anxiety, depression, muscle rigidity (particularly at the neck and jaw levels).

All this and his brain scan still failed to show any kind of damage, like a hole in his brain. So this guy must be faking this, but just to be safe don’t take 25 pills a day.

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards butt flasher Lindsay Lohan is a Kabbalah girl. Add another star to the celebrity religion known as Kabbalah. Lindsay joins the rank of celebrities such as Madonna, Britney Spears and Demi Moore who calls the controversial religion with roots to Judaism as their religion of choice. Lindsay tells The Mirror:

Its official, the hip-hop couple Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee have ended their marriage. Russell has issued a statement announcing that the pair has decided to break up after seven years of marriage:

Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other. We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses.

This confirmed what has been rumor this past week. The statement also says that the couple had been separated for “some time” now, but continue to live in the same house together. The couple has two young daughters, six-year-old Ming Lee and three-year-old Aoki.

Russell is rumor to have started seeing a model named Denise Vasi, 23, the two had met while doing yoga.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has flown her dying mother, Marcheline Betrand, from the US to France so she can be there for the birth of her grandchild.

After landing in the French capital, Marcheline decided to fly to southern France because it was to cold and raining. A source says tells The Sun:

Angelina is very close to her mother and she so wanted her to be there for the birth.

Angelina has been having regular check-ups at a hospital in Paris and it is expected that she will give birth within the next few weeks.
