The poll is conducted annually by the Quigley Publishing Company and has been doing this since 1932. The poll is an annual survey of motion picture exhibitors, which asks them to vote for the ten stars that generated the most box-office revenue in the preceding year for their theatres.

Ryan Seacrest

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is reported by People magazine as making $21 million for the new deal he signed to host E! News Daily. Can you all say ridiculous. This new deal comes out to $7 million per year, I wonder if he got a signing bonus on top of this payday?

The new deal, which is said to cover approximately three years, calls for Seacrest to executive produce the network’s Live from the Red Carpet awards-show coverage, starting with the Jan. 16 Golden Globes Awards. In addition, he will serve as managing editor of E! News; will produce and host celebrity interview specials; act as tower host of red-carpet shows; and start – in March – as lead anchor E! News.

Seacrest is one busy bee in Hollywood. All this work, Seacrest should be making more millions. I wonder how much he is going to get pay to take over Dick Clark’s job as host of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve?
