Matt Damon and wife Luciana Bozan are expecting a baby girl. Damon revealed the sex of the baby to a newspaper while in the Dominican Republic filming the movie The Good Shephard with pregnant Angelina Jolie.

Damon told reporters in Spanish that the child will be a girl, according to a local paper. “ ‘It [she] will be a girl,’ said Damon in Spanish,” noted El Caribe, according to a translation carried on a Damon fan site.

Maybe the words were lost in translation and what he was really saying was “Its a Boy.” The gender is still up in the air with Damon’s spokeswoman saying:

I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to him since he got married.

Former American Idol Diana DeGarmo is going to New York City, Broadway to be exact. She got herself a job on the Broadway show Hairspray and will be making her debut on February 7.

DeGarmo will be replacing Tracey Miller as Penny Pingleton the best friend of the main character.

“I’ve always loved Penny’s part because she gets to be fun and goofy,” DeGarmo told Broadway.com. “She has a real journey—she gets to blossom into a beautiful rosebud. The teen idol is also a fan of the show’s Tony-winning score: “Every time I hear it I want to tap my feet and boogie around!”
