Dell Inc. has decide to drop the free home delivery for low-end computers. I wonder if its really eliminate cost and boost revenue or is it because their revenue are slipping due to less computers being sold? There comes a point where people don’t need a new computer due to the fact that most older computers being able to run newer softwares.
You can still get your Dell computer ship for free if you are willing to go to your local post office and pick up the computer yourself. This can be good for most people because they don’t have to be home waiting for the computer but can just go to the post office and pick it up at their convenient within 10 days. Now all Dell needs to do is tell people free delivery is not really free home delivery.
