Ryan Seacrest

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is reported by People magazine as making $21 million for the new deal he signed to host E! News Daily. Can you all say ridiculous. This new deal comes out to $7 million per year, I wonder if he got a signing bonus on top of this payday?

The new deal, which is said to cover approximately three years, calls for Seacrest to executive produce the network’s Live from the Red Carpet awards-show coverage, starting with the Jan. 16 Golden Globes Awards. In addition, he will serve as managing editor of E! News; will produce and host celebrity interview specials; act as tower host of red-carpet shows; and start – in March – as lead anchor E! News.

Seacrest is one busy bee in Hollywood. All this work, Seacrest should be making more millions. I wonder how much he is going to get pay to take over Dick Clark’s job as host of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve?
