Rita Growing and Getting Stronger

As if New Orleans didn’t have problems already, another possible problem is heading its way. Hurricane Rita is increasing its strength as it move its way up towards the Gulf coast. New Orleans has stop allowing residents back into the city because of the possibility that Rita will be a category 3. Not allowing resident back into the city is probably the best move to do, given what we seen these past weeks with the aftermath of Katrina.

We have been having a whole lot of tropical storms this year, this will be the sixth storm since Katrina, and we still have until Nov. 30 before the hurricane season is over. Seems like a new day brings a new news about some tropical storm thats heading its way towards the Gulf coast.

All these storms bring thoughts of the movie The Day After Tomorrow. Now all we need is some tornadoes, tidal waves, lots of snow and we will have the next Ice Age.

Update: 09/21/05
Rita is now a category 5 hurricane.
