American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has been beaten for the starting role in the movie Dreamgirls by American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer joins Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy who will also be in the movie.

After hearing the news Jennifer Hudson told USA Today,

It is the ultimate, the greatest role in theater history.

Why me? I’m still in shock. I just got to Los Angeles Monday night and started rehearsals yesterday.

I’m not saying this but can this be because Fantasia is illiterate? I bet this is true because if you can’t read a script you really can’t do a movie.
