Its official, the hip-hop couple Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee have ended their marriage. Russell has issued a statement announcing that the pair has decided to break up after seven years of marriage:
Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other. We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses.
This confirmed what has been rumor this past week. The statement also says that the couple had been separated for “some time” now, but continue to live in the same house together. The couple has two young daughters, six-year-old Ming Lee and three-year-old Aoki.
Russell is rumor to have started seeing a model named Denise Vasi, 23, the two had met while doing yoga.
