Adam Goldstein better known as DJ AM was found dead in his apartment in New York City at 5:20PM yesterday.

DJ AM had not been heard from for a few days, and one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door, law-enforcement sources said. The friend then called the police, who broke into the apartment at about 5:30 p.m. Friday and found the DJ’s body.

The cause of dead is still unknown but a crack pipe was found alone with prescription pill bottles. His publicist release the following statement:

Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time.

It was just last year when he and Travis Barker both survived a plane crash that killed four other people.

At first, the public funeral of Michael Jackson was suppose to take place at the Neverland Ranch, but now it looks like it will take place at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, CA on July 7 at 10AM PT. The Staple Center is own by AEG, which was also the promoter of Jackson’s planned comeback tour in London. So I guess this is a way for AEG to make back the millions they are probably losing now that MJ is gone. Still unknown are the price of admission to see the Moonwalker.

Baring anymore last minute changes from Michael’s family, on July 7 LA is going to be a nut house with thongs of fans and media crashing the city to see the Icon for the last time.

Following the autopsy report for Heath Ledger, his family issue the following statement:

We remain humble as parents and a family, among millions of people worldwide who may have suffered the tragic loss of a child. Few can understand the hollow, wrenching, and enduring agony parents silently suffer when a child predeceases them. Today’s results put an end to speculation, but our son’s beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts.

While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath’s accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.

Our family enjoyed an extremely happy two-week visit with Heath just prior to the New Year. Those recent precious days will stay with us forever. We as a family feel privileged to have some of his amazing magic moments captured in film. To most of the world, Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. We knew Heath as a loving father, as our devoted son, and as a loyal and generous brother and friend.

We treasure our beautiful granddaughter Matilda (to our dear Michelle) as well as an unbelievably wonderful network of close friends, forever, around the world. Families rarely experience the uplifting, warm and massive outpouring of grief and support as have we, from every corner of the planet. This has deeply and profoundly touched our hearts and lives. We are eternally grateful.

At this moment we respectfully request the worldwide media allow us time to grieve privately, without the intrusions associated with press and photography.

The New York City medical examiner’s reported that Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose resulting from the abuse of six prescription medications.

The NYC medical examiner has finished the toxicology report following the death of Heath Ledger, and has just ruled that the actor’s death was caused by “acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine.”

A private funeral for Heath will take place on Saturday in Perth, Australia. Heath’s daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, and ex-girlfriend, Michelle Williams, has just arrived in Australia, joining Ledger’s father, Kim, mother Sally and sister Kate.

Heath Ledger was found dead in NYC by his housekeeper at 3:26 p.m. this afternoon. Police are saying drugs may have played a factor in his death. Heath was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics failed to revive him.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let him know the masseuse had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

So sad to hear this news. R.I.P. Heath Ledger.

Update: Heath was suffering from pneumonia at the time of his death. An autopsy will be perform tomorrow.

It is with deep sadness we report the death of Kanye West’s mother, Donda West, who passed away Saturday in Los Angeles at the age of 58, according to Kanye’s publicist. The cause of death has not been reveal, but some are speculating the cause of death, “may have been the result of complications from a surgical procedure,” meaning some kind of plastic surgery.

Donda a former teacher was very close to her son Kanye and had recently publish a book delicate to her son, “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star,” will be missed.

Angelina Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, has passed away from ovarian cancer this past Saturday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Angelina, her bother James Haven, and Brad Pitt were by her bedside before she passed away. Our thoughts and prayer are with Jolie and her family.

Angelina has said that a private funeral is being plan and asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Women’s Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai.

James Brown the Godfather of Soul has passed away early Monday morning at the age of 73. Brown was originally hospitalized with pneumonia at Sunday, the exact cause of death is still uncertain at this time.

The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin may have survived the deadly stingray attack. It is being reported that after getting stab in the chest by the stingray’s barb, Steve pulled the barb out of his chest. Steve’s manager, John Stainton, says the following:

It shows Steve came over the top of the ray and the tail came up, and spiked him here (in the chest). He pulled it out and the next minute he’s gone. The cameraman had to shut down. It’s a very hard thing to watch because you’re actually witnessing somebody die … it’s terrible.

By pulling the barb out of his chest, Steve may have done more damage to himself than if he just left it in. Dr. Bryan Fry, deputy director of the Australian Venom Research Unit, says:

The strongly serrated barb is capable of tearing and rendering flesh. It’s not the going in that causes the damage, it’s the coming out where those deep serrations kind of pull on the flesh, and you end up with a very jagged tear which is quite a pronounced injury.

You can tell Irwin was dazed and confuse after being barbed by the stingray, that’s the only explanation for Steve reaching for and removing the barb out of his chest.

Actor Paul Gleason passed away Saturday (May 27, 2006) at the age of 67, from a rare form of lung cancer. Paul was best known for playing the principle in the hit movie The Breakfast Club.

Gleason died at a local hospital Saturday of mesothelioma, a rare form of lung cancer linked to asbestos, said his wife, Susan Gleason.

“Whenever you were with Paul, there was never a dull moment,” his wife said. “He was awesome.”

Al Lewis 1910 – 2006

In 1998, Al Lewis ran in the New York Governor office as the Green Party candidate against republican incumbent George E. Pataki. Although he lost the race, he still manage to get more than 52,000 votes.

Lewis was hospitalized in 2003 for an angioplasty. After suffering a complications during the surgery Lewis’ right leg was amputated below the knee and the toes on his left foot. The next month Lewis was in a coma.

Lewis is survived by wife Karen Ingenthron-Lewis, three sons, and four grandchildren.
