Britney Spears has bought a Maui mansion during a recent vacation to Hawaii with son Sean Preston Federline. Britney hopes the new Maui home will be a start to rekindle her troubled romance with husband Kevin Federline.

Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place. They have been on rocky ground for some time now and while Kev was away recording his album she decided she had to do something to make their relationship work. Brit told Kevin she had her heart set on a home in Maui. It’s one of her favourite places in the world.

The price for a house at Britney’s favourite places in the world will set her back a cool $5.1 million. I guess the $5 million is a better investment than forking over up to $1,700 per night for a room at Four Seasons. The source also added:

She’s hoping it will bring some luck to their relationship. If you can’t fall back in love on the golden beaches in Hawaii, then where can you?
